Marsupial Hippopotamus
Marsupial Hippopotamus (Zygomaturus Trilobus), also known as the marsupial hippo or the bunyip, is a species of giant marsupial native to the swamps and marshlands Australia. It is a large animal, weighing 500 kg (1100 lbs) or more and standing about 1.5 m (4.9 ft) tall and 2.5 m (8.2 ft) long.
Much like a hippopotamus, the animal has raised nostrils to help them breath while most of the animal is submerged. Like the wombat, it also has a backwards-facing pouch, which protects its infants (referred to as "joeys") from drowning while the animal is foraging in swamps. It also has a build very similar to that of the endangered pygmy hippopotamu
